THE SEA OF LIFE

It has come to be my experience that most people you meet in life may be likened unto ships passing upon the water in the night. Some ships are brighter and larger than other. Some pass by quickly, some slowly. Some ships will make a greater impact and splash in your life while others will barely ripple the waters. One thing is for certain though, most people will not take up anchor in your harbor of life. For you see this is not the nature of most people in the "Sea of Life."

Many people set their sail in life and are fortunate to remain on course. Still others end up shipwrecked on the shore in the sea of life.

Some set sail in shallow waters, while others launch out into the deep.

Most people, like ships, will not reverse their direction in life. They are set in their ways and it would take an extreme happening to change their course.

Still others will attempt to swim upstream against the raging currents in the sea of life. These rare individuals are usually perceived as the "crazy ones" - round pegs in square holes. They are not fond of rules and resist status quo. They push the human race forward. While some may see them as the crazy ones, others see genius.

Many people, like ships, won't pass by a second time in your channel of life. It is rare for a ship to pass by twice. For those who do pass by again treasure these moments for they truly are exceptional and extremely rare - a beautiful sight to behold.

If you are fortunate enough on your journey in the sea of life to come across a lighthouse then you are truly blessed and must cherish and savor this moment with all your being. For the lighthouses in the sea of life will help guide us through our darkest hours and see us through to journey's end.

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." (Psalm 119:105)
