Yom Hashoah - The Holocaust Remembered

$19.99Price
  • "Yom Hashoah - The Holocaust Remembered," a landmark epic film, the 10th in Larry Cappetto's documentary series, "Lest They Be Forgotten."

The film documents the horrors of Kristallnacht, the invasion of Poland, Hungary, Lithuania and other countries taken over by the Nazi Regime; the deportation of Jews into the Ghettos followed by life in the ghettos.

The recollections in this film are not easy to see, but it is through the eyes and voices of some of the survivors and GI's that the atrocities that occured during the Nazi's Final Solution is retold. We not only hear the heart wrenching stories of families lost, but we hear stories from brave GI's who liberated the camps and the unspeakable things they found. This film serves not only as an historical record, but a testament and witness for the over 6 million Jews whose voices were so violently and senselessly silenced, in one of the worst periods of the 20th century.

"Let us remember the heroes of Warsaw, the martyrs of Treblinka, the children of Auschwitz. They fought alone, they suffered alone, they lived alone, but they did not die alone, for something in all of us died with them."

     - Elie Wiesel.
