At 0830, 6 June 1944, all landings had ceased on Omaha Beach. Men were close to despiar.
One of the most extreme experiences a human being can go through is being a combat infantryman. An no where in World War II was combat more extreme than at Omaha Beach in the early morning hours of June 6th, 1944.
