"The Battle of Iwo Jima," the third installment in the historic series captures the compelling stories of U.S. Marines who landed and fought at Iwo Jima, a small Pacific island on February 19, 1945.
The aging veterans tell their own stories (a battle in which nearly 30,000 troops died), with detail and an outpouring of emotion. As he did with his first two films which focused on the Normandy invasion in France, Larry Cappetto's camera captures vivid memories from our veterans with pride, patriotism and dignity.
TOTAL RUNNING TIME approximately 72 minutes.
Filmed in Utah, Ohio, California, Kentucky, Florida and New Jersey.
