About.

"Something touched me deep inside..."

I was first introduced to the music of Buddy Holly in 1978. After watching "The Buddy Holly Story" several times I went out and bought all the Buddy Holly records I could find. When I was 15 years old I started playing guitar. I didn't become serious about playing though until after I saw the movie. And the rest is rock n' roll.

Buddy's music was and still is the inspiration behind my music. I have been very fortunate to travel and to meet the Holley family in Lubbock, Texas. I was honored to interview Buddy's brother, Larry Holley, in his home. Larry served in the United States Marine Corps

during the Second World War. He spoke to me that day about his experience as a Marine and about his brother, Buddy. It was a time I shall never forget. I was also blessed to meet and perform at the Clovis Music Festival with Buddy's niece, Sherry Holley and her husband, Tommy Scales. I also did some recording with them in Lubbock. It was a very special time, memories I shall always cherish.

This website is my tribute to Charles Hardin Holley. My dream is to perform a couple of his songs next year at the 60th anniversary Memorial Concert in Clear Lake, Iowa, at the Surf Ballroom where Buddy performed his last songs on Feb. 2, 1959.  I hope you enjoy the 4 tracks on the song page. Thank you and God Bless You!!
