ROBERT WILLIAM CAPPETTO - OBITUARY

September 30, 1930 - June 7, 1968

In Loving Memory of Robert William Cappetto.

Rosary will be recited tomorrow at 8 PM and Requiem mass celebrated Tuesday at 9 a.m. in St. James the Less Catholic Church for 37-year old Robert William Cappetto of 3179 Abella Street, La Crescenta. Interment will follow in the San Fernando Mission Cemetery.

Robert William Cappetto was born, September 30, 1930 in Waukegan, Illinois, to the parents of Luigi T. "Louis" Cappetto and Katherine Ann Clausen.

PFC Cappetto was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Army from 1951-1953. He was honorably discharged Feb. 4, 1953.

 

Robert Cappetto was a musician associated with the Eddy Howard and Dick Charles Orchestras, he died Friday, June 7, in a Los Angeles Hospital. He was born in Chicago and lived in the foothills for seven years.

Mr. Cappetto was an outstanding trumpet player and musician - really a genuius!! He was born before his time - and that there was no one in this era to discover him.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Margaret; one daughter, Teresa Ann; two sons, Lawrence Robert and John Gerald; one brother Thomas of La Crescenta; his parents, Louis T. and Kathryn Cappetto of La Crescenta; and his grandmother, Agnes Clawson of La Crescenta.

Crippen Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements.
