HAL DOUGLAS TERRELL - OBITUARY

March 19, 1926 - September 29, 2008.

Hal Douglas Terrell, 28 year Parachute resident, died on September 29, 2008 at Grand River Hospital in Rifle. He was 82 years old. Hal was born in New Castle, on March 19, 1926 to Roy and Martha (Sallee) Terrell. Hal married Leta Huntley on September 20, 1946 in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. They had just recently celebrated 62 years of marriage. She survives. Hal was an international marketing manager for the Caterpillar Company. He served his country while enlisted in the Army Air Corps and he was a member of the First Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, Leta, Hal is survived by his son, Gary (Patricia) Terrell and his daughter, Teresa (Joseph) Webber and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Virginia Terrell. A memorial service will take place at the Battlement Mesa Activity Center on Sunday, October 5, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made in Hal's honor to the Colorado Animal Rescue, 2801CR 114, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601. Rifle Funeral Home has been entrusted with assisting the family.
